This Sunday Somewhere is being sent to you from Columbus, Ohio after a wonderful week in Michigan.
Specifically Hess Lake, directly north of Grand Rapids. It’s beautiful up there, and an amazing mid-year break for us. There’s jetskiing, kneeboarding, waterskiing, frisbee, reading, food, good chats, and loads of gut wrenching laughs. Regardless of where we are in the world the rest of the year, for at least one week of every summer, you can find us at Hess Lake, Michigan.
Full of trees, kind people, and surrounded by three great lakes (Superior, Michigan, and Huron), I think vacationing to this northern state in summer time is massively underrated. For a trip you could fly into Detroit, road trip to Torch Lake which looks straight out of the Caribbean, and continue North to Munising in the Upper Peninsular (UP) to see the Pictured Rocks.
Just saying, there’s a lot to find up there.

- Our editing laptop is back in full commission. (woohoo!!!) We picked up the temperamental machine last night from the Apple Store. For now, it’s working great. Hopefully it holds out for our next trip
