San Francisco is utterly... 🤯

July 2, 2023

to Sunday Somewhere, this week sent to you from foggy, gorgeous San Francisco! It's great here! Even... dare I say... Golden Great? Hehe...

Seriously, it's utterly beautiful. The streets are clean and the entire tourist district - Fisherman's Wharf, Chinatown, Lombard Street (the twistiest road in the world), and Ghirardelli primarily - is all very well cared for. And not to mention super entertaining. This morning we even went on a brunch cruise around the bay and passed under the Golden Gate Bridge just as the fog was lifting!

Thankfully, Godzilla hasn't knocked it down yet.

Fun fact!

This Tuesday, the 4th of July, will be our first Independence Day in the USA in three years! Reyka and I have missed each one since we started traveling together and even since we've been dating! Just under four months after beginning dating, we went to Mexico for six weeks together. That was on June 8th, 2021, lasting well into July.

Then, last summer after a year of European adventures, we went to Guatemala for a month for the entire month of July.

Well, US of A, we are back. We have returned to celebrate our freedom, and what better way to do that than a good ol' fashioned baseball game. We'll be heading to Oracle Park to watch the Mariners STOMP on the Giants at 1:35 pm this Tuesday afternoon. Go Ms!

New Release: Newsletters Archive 🥳

Past newsletters have faded into the ether of old inboxes since the dawn of this thing back in 2021. Whelp, not anymore! It took a bit to figure out the website design/formatting of the posts, but we have begun uploading old newsletters on our website! (It's not up to date yet but should be sometime this week.)

You'll find this growing list of past newsletters here:

Country #16 is... 🇯🇲🇯🇲

I'm feeling extra fun right now so I'm going to share with you the next country me and Reyka are visiting... JAMAICA!! 🇯🇲 We are SOOO excited. After San Francisco, we'll head to Mexico first for a few days, on the Yucatán side, which I talked more about a few weeks ago in case you missed it (it'll be in the archive, don't worry), and then fly straight into Kingston, where we'll begin a 9 day tour of the island.

Also, before I go to sleep, a funny thought. Before going to each country for the first time, we usually only know a few stereotypical things about it. For example, we knew India would have crazy traffic and tea stands everywhere. We knew Spain would love soccer... err... fútbol.

Going into Jamaica, all we know about it is Usain Bolt, Bob Marley, they have a bobsled team even though they're a tropical island country, and... smoking marijuana is supposedly very popular there. These preconceived notions can be extremely accurate or wildly overblown, so it'll be fun to see which ones hold up over our visit.

Please take care and have a fun, safe 4th of July if you are from the USA. If not, have an excellent 3rd-10th of July. That is... have a great week. 🤪

Love and Peace,

Wyatt (and Reyka in spirit)

P.S. Please forgive any typos in this weeks letter. I'm getting tired and Reyka is already in bed asleep so she can't spellcheck this one lol.
